Hermosa pieza!!! 😊
CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that you’ve been using the glass storage for a few years, what would you do differently and what’s your favorite part?
❤ Gorilla Glue! Get better soon!!
I hope you heal well. I had both my wrists done and it was so nice to have no more pain and no more numbness. Thank you for all the videos that you put up. It's really made a difference to me and learning how to do fuse glass. I really appreciate your work.
Thanks! This was the right one - left wrist is later in August!
Thanks for this update! Love your creative ideas.
I feel your pain. I broke my wrist a month ago. Had to have surgery. So I haven’t been doing glass either. Hope you heal quickly.
Oh no! You too!
When you’re saying it was a really cold winter, what does that mean for you? I typically bring my glass in during the winter bc I’m actually more afraid of how the cold could impact the adhesive than I am the heat. Take care of yourself, you’ve had a tough few months of surgeries, recoveries, & rehab.
Well, for us, our coldest is typically into the 25°F range but not for terribly long.
Heal well & soon!
Thanks!
Jamaison, hope you heal quickly and as painlessly as possible! I love the Gorilla Glue and have used the same stuff you do for a few years now. This is the time of year I start on my Christmas ornaments and I make these cute, simple Christmas Trees one layer of 3MM Tekta with frit and other decorations. I realized too late that I forgot to leave room for me to drill a hole at the top for a pretty ribbon to hang the ornament on a tree. So I was annoyed to have a glob (well organized glob though) of glue on the back securing a fusible "wire" (which wasn't fused of course). Fast forward 2 years, I took out one of the ornaments I had left to use as a template and I tell you what, that glue was a solid as the day it was used. I too highly recommend it. It did 100% better than a 2 part epoxy I used on a handful of post earrings I made too. I use it on pendants that I don't drill for a pinch bail. Great stuff! Thanks for the update!
I love hearing how well it works for others too! Thank you!
Thanks! Your video solved my frustration of not seeing show notes.
Thanks!
Wow, thank you!!!
Heal fully and quickly Thanks for the update and clip info, I need something like that
LOOKS GOOD. YOU ARE FALLING APART.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, just taking care of things I’ve ignored too long
@@JamaisonSchuler THAT'S GOOD I LOVE YOUR WORK. HAVE MISSED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Jamaison - excellent information. I use this product as well, so always good to have confirmation. I hope your healing process is smooth and quick!
Thank you!
I hope you heal quickly . Thank you so much for your videos I very much enjoy them!..
Thanks!
Lovely
Beautiful
Love this platter, where do you purchase your moulds please.
Oh goodness… from all over. From a local glass shop that sells molds from Bullseye, from Slumpy’s, from Creative Paradise, from Colors for Earth, etc… so many mold manufacturers and retailers
As always, you've made a lovely, informative video. This is a great introduction to freeze and fused glass. Thank you for your time and for sharing.
Jamaison Shuler, I just wanted to let you know that you have single-handedly made me obsessed with fusing glass. I just bought a kiln and I’m waiting on several deliveries to get started . I watched all your videos in three weeks and have since started watching Tabitha’s channel. thanks for all of the resources you supplied throughout the years. I’m following all of them. Problem is that I miss your videos and now I have to wait like everybody else. I’ll probably just watch them all over again. Keep them coming. Thank you.
Aw, thank you for such a kind note! And I guess I should apologize for your newfound obsession and financial ruin! Lol! Stay tuned to the channel, but I’m trying to navigate some aging parent issues and so I haven’t been in the studio and may be a bit in between videos for a while. But don’t give up on me! If you are on Facebook, make sure to follow me over there. Even though I’m not posting videos, there’s more activity there. Facebook.com/youtubejamaison
❤
Hey there. You could use that big blue piece as a part of a fountain ❤ thank you for the inspiration
That’s really lovely. As someone who’s just beginning - if you did want to layer it with clear, what steps would you take to keep the dots distinct?
I made a second one and used a 2mm clear layer and fired just a bit warmer. It came out well with distinct dots, just don’t fire too warm.
@@JamaisonSchuler nice. Do you have a picture of it anywhere? I know, demanding followers 🤣
@@Siliconpixel no, I did not take a photo and have already sold and shipped it. Sorry
@@JamaisonSchuler no problem. I’ll have to try making one myself!
Jamaison, very nice. I always enjoy you sharing your techniques, those look wonderful! I wonder if that one piece of glass was Wissmach? They make some gorgeous colors.
Could have been… one never knows for sure in a buyout!
So beautiful and just my style. So inspiring!
This is awesome. Congratulations on your win. What a super fun project. ❤
Thanks for sharing and saving us a lot of time and Frustration!❤❤❤❤
I just started to use scraps in a dam mold. I love both projects you made with the orange and white glass and the red iridescent glass. BEAUTIFUL! Do you always use Bullseye 90 COE or can 96 COE be used?
96 glass could certainly be used, but if I’m not mistaken, I think the target anneal hold temperature is different so you might need to adjust your schedules accordingly.
An odd question but how did you practice this. I would want to offer this but don’t want to mess up with anyone’s special ashes if that makes sense.
Buy bone meal in the garden section. Or just try some soil! Fusing soil into glass (same process as cremains or ashes) ua-cam.com/video/3iea8ZUxTyM/v-deo.html
Where do I find your vido notes?
This detail is in the video notes on UA-cam. If you are watching in the app on your phone, you probably just click the headline under the video. If on your computer, I think it’s usually in a gray box with “show more” under the video headline or try to click the headline itself. Thanks!!!
A beautiful piece.!❤
Beautiful !
I like the addition of the small frit balls. I have made some with luminescent in a single layer and had problems with the edges keeping together.
Opaline is my favorite glass by far. The second glass I taught I had to ‘fix’ three of these that the previous instructor never finished. Then I spent a month making balls to make on for myself. I did one in clear and one in opaline and a couple of small ones with a mixture of both, my boss sold them all when she emptied the kiln. Not what I wanted. But now I want to make another
i just inherited my late aunt’s entire glass studio, stained glass and fusing, and let’s just say she wasn’t the most organized person in the world. and i am! so i really enjoyed this. everything will be here in a couple weeks and i’m excited but a little dreading the unboxing process.
Oh wow - best of luck to you!
How bizarre. I wonder if that’s what a fumed reaction from steel blue looks like
THis is so fun. Did you fire each panel to 1350. I love the gold pumpkin tree panel too. ❤. Thank you Jamaison
Yup, all four were the same! Thanks!
opaline is my fav magic glass! Great job! I have always also wanted to do this project!
I would SO buy some cabochons from you!
I like these-I’d set them in silver. You have a shop?
I do have a few cans for sale but no hearts. Here’s a link in case you are interested. Thanks!
www.etsy.com/shop/FourLeavesGlassworks
Do you sell these hearts?
I only sell these locally at art shows right now
Awe man:( They’re so pretty! I think they’d be great set in a sterling silver bezel. I do silversmith work & look for hearts like these!
What did you use to make the design , what kind of pen?
amzn.to/4cysIRz
❤❤❤ I'm sure the recipient will be amazed!!!
All that work was well worth it!
Thanks!
I tried this yesterday and I ended up with a bunch of bubbles both around the rim and in the interior of the glass. After looking at the tutorial again, the only thing I did different was I forgot to put clear frit in the cracks of the top piece. GGGGGRRRRRR!!!!!! Going to buy more glass and try it again.
Good luck! Everything I understand about this and those bubbles is about having enough volume of glass. But these Patty Gray molds can be tricky!
@@JamaisonSchuler I have another one on the kiln now. This time I have clear powder in the cracks of the top glass. I actually have a ridge of powder over the cracks. Also slowing down the firing.
Ordering the brush set from your list!! Great idea. Could you wet the mold first? Obviously, you'd have to let it dry thoroughly before you respray.
Oh, I’m sure you could!
Nice 😊
Why didn’t you start with a clear base?
Because I did not want the clear to interrupt the lacy pattern. It’s more of an art piece than functional. Clear glass would still pick up texture and I didn’t want that seen in the gaps
